Q)How did your journey as an artist begin?
Anne- I have always being creative with song and theatre, so it was not before I was home with my first kid and realized that my liberty and life was changed for ever. As I have to create to feel in balance, I started to paint at home and I continued with different art courses when the kids grew up and Now I have an atelier since 15 years, working for myself.
Q)What are the different forms of artworks that you do?
Anne- I work with oil, acrylic, ink, collage and last year I started with stone carving.
Q)What does your work aim to say?
Anne-My biggest issue are today the climate the animals and every unfear things that we see so much everywhere in the world.
Q)What is that one line of quote that you abide by in your life or you would like others to follow?
Anne- One of those who I like the best is one I did last year to the fishes in the oceans. I was so angry when I realized how much plastic and garbage the fish are eating, so I made a statement for them. I send a pic after. I wanted to do it soft and beautiful at the same time, as saying something seriously.
Q)How have you been keeping up during the pandemic and what are the new things that you have started?
Anne- The pandemic was an extremely good time for my creations. I worked a lot as I was in lockdown at home.I started to do experiment with paper and mixing ink and coldwax. Doing more spontaneous thing, with no ideas. Everytime I found a deeper meaning and that was satisfying.
Q) What are the challenges you face while working on any artwork?
Anne-Trying to find a meaning with every work, not just paint. Relay heart and brain in an adequate way while I am on a painting.
Q) What is the thought process while choosing your next artwork?
Anne-To just be curious of what is happening while I am on a work.
Q)What are the best resources that have helped you in your way?
Anne-Trust your own feelings, stay curious and read a lot, talk with interesting people and of course listen to music that gives the rhytm.
Q)What advice would you give to a young artist following in your steps?
Anne- Just work, be curious and dare doing what’s fell right for you.
Q)Who is your Inspiration ?
Anne- My insparation was Van Gogh, than I was inspired by Rauschenberg.
And now I can appreciate Twombley.
Q) Would you like to tell about your achievements ?
Anne- It is always hard to force yourself to achieve works. You are your own boss and you can just doing what you want. For me I need a routine and a goal, to expose or have an exchange with people. That’s why it was so important to have the people on instagram during the confiments. That helped me going on.
Q)Can you tell us about the process of making your artwork in short ?
Anne- The process is often choosing the colors and material and then I often start with ink that I throw in different places and then I am looking what I can see. Sometimes I do not see anything in the beginning, so I have to paint and suddenly I see something interesting.
Q)Whats coming up for you ,what are you working on?
Anne- Just now I am working on an exhibition with 4 collegues. The theme is traces.
